Open Burning in North Logan City Limits

MARCH 26 - Open Burning within North Logan City Limits

North Logan City allows limited open burning within the city limits, mostly for irrigation companies and agriculture purposes. Burn permits will be issued between March 15th and May 30th, and again between September 15th and October 30th, when the Clearing Index is above 500 and Air Quality Control has declared a "green" burn day. Bates Motel Opens in West Logan

DECEMBER 07 - A new training prop is open for business at the Logan-Cache Fire Training Center. Dubbed the "Bates Motel" by Asst. Chief Jeff Peterson, the prop features an eighty-foot hallway with three rooms on each side, and fires can be ignited anywhere in the structure. NLFD Firefighters Attend ARFF Training

DECEMBER 07 - North Logan Firefighters spent a week at the Salt Lake International Airport, training with the SLCFD on strategy and tactics of aircraft firefighting and other aircraft emergencies. About a third of the training involved classroom time which focused on aircraft / airport familiarization, FAA regulations, and firefighting methods.
